Pastor Nancy Dreier has been the pastor at Zion since February of 2002. She was ordained in 1999 and served as Associate Pastor at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, MN before coming to Zion. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University-Mankato, and earned her Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul.
Pastor Nancy has one daughter, Jennifer, son-in-law Matt Smith, and is the proud grandmother of Olivia (9), Ava (7) and Lily (5)! The Smith family lives in Denver and enjoys heading for excursions to the mountains so the parents can snowboard while the girls follow along on skis.
She enjoys hiking and has recently completed a goal of hiking all the state parks in Minnesota (all 72!). With Lake Vermilion now becoming a state park, she says she will be “forced” to go up north again and add that park to her list!
This is who will greet you when you stop in to the church office. Teresa started working in the office January 3, 2011. She lives by Truman, MN and enjoys working with computers, meeting people, and learning new things. Teresa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going camping, golfing and working in the garden.
Sarah has been an organist and the choir accompanist at Zion since the summer of 2003. She started playing piano at the
age of six. She remembers her parents telling her she used to sit next to the organist during the postlude, watching her play
and one Sunday, at the age of four, asked her daddy to buy her an organ. Sarah grew up in St. James, MN. She graduated from
Gustavus Adolphus College and has been working as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician in Mankato since 2000. Sarah, her husband,
Karl, and their twin sons, Ethan & Mason live in Lake Crystal. They enjoy going up north to the family cabin when the weather
is nice, playing ball and going for walks.
