Announcing our Fall Stewardship Appeal

Dear Members of Zion,

What does Zion mean to you?

Perhaps you’ll agree with Gary, who recently said, “My church family has surrounded me in my joy and my sorrow. Zion makes me feel welcome because it is truly home and family.”

Isn’t that what it means to live as One in Christ?

One in Christ is the theme of our Fall Stewardship Appeal. United in the common values of connection & relationship, we are building for our future and mission opportunities locally, nationally, and globally.

In future weeks you will learn more about Zion’s ministry plans for 2017, showing the ways opening for all of us to grow as One in Christ. Look for the newsletter articles, bulletin inserts, temple talks and a brochure.

You will be invited to reflect on your current giving. Prayerfully consider an increase, and the ways your family might achieve that growth in your giving.

This year, you will be asked to communicate your intended gift through a “statement of intent” card.

Sunday, November 20th is dedicated as our Appeal Commitment Sunday, when you will present your “statement of intent” card. For those who cannot attend the service, you can return your card by mail.

It is our goal to give all members the opportunity to participate in God’s plan of building for our future. Families from whom a response has not been received by November 20th will be telephoned.

Thank you for being a part of our church family. Pray for our common goal as we actively engage in ways to share the love of Jesus.

United as One in Christ,

Rev. Andrea Myers Rod Isebrand Pastor Council President
